Electronic Commerce (e-Commerce) and its definitions
Electronic Commerce or well know as e-Commerce is selling or buying of products or goods and services and transmitting of data and funds using computer networks over the Internet. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as, electronic funds transfer, mobile commerce, supply chain management, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), Internet marketing, automated data collection systems and inventory management systems, These business transactions occur either business-to-business, business-to-consumer, consumer-to-consumer or consumer-to-business.
